光影中的皮影戏——我校外教课堂风采

我校小学外教老师Robert带领孩子们开展了一堂趣味盎然的活动课——光影中的皮影戏。孩子们通过自己制作并表演皮影戏，学会了如何通过变换手电筒的光来形成不同的影子。

Our primary school foreign teacher Robert led the children in a fun activity lesson - Shadow Puppets in Light and Shadow. The children learnt how to create different shadows by changing the light from a torch by making and performing their own shadow puppets.

活动前，为启发学生思考，教师提出两个皮影戏的相关问题：“影子在哪里？”“你什么时候可以看到影子？”学生们踊跃发言，很多答案相当新颖而富有洞见。在此过程中，学生们不仅练习了英语表达，也加深了对“光与影”这一单元主题下科学知识的理解。

Before the activity, to stimulate students’ thinking, the teacher asked two questions about shadow puppets: “Where are the shadows?” “When can you see the shadow?” The students spoke enthusiastically and many of the answers were quite original and insightful. In the process, the students not only practiced their English expressions but also deepened their understanding of the scientific knowledge under the theme of ‘Light and Shadow’.

接着，教师向学生们展示了生动有趣的动图，并据此教授了本单元课程标准要求掌握的新词汇，比如“皮影戏”、“透明胶带”等。学生们一边跟着Robert朗读这些新单词，一边观看动图，Robert也着意纠正他们的发音。其后是看图猜词的巩固环节，帮助学生强化记忆。

The teacher then showed the students some fun and lively moving pictures and taught them the new vocabulary for this unit, such as ‘shadow puppets’ and ‘cellotape’. The students read the new words aloud to the teacher as they watched the moving pictures, and the teacher made a point of correcting their pronunciation. This was followed by a consolidation session of looking at the pictures and guessing the words to help students reinforce their memories.

在皮影的制作环节，Robert给学生们口述了如何用卡纸和木棍制作皮影，播放了通过光的变换制造不同的阴影来表演皮影戏的短片，并展示了多种多样的皮影人物设计。孩子们以非凡的想象力和创造力制作出了美观多样的皮影人物。课程最精彩的环节莫过于皮影戏表演——孩子们在准备好的幕布后不停变换摆弄手电筒，用英文演绎了一出出活泼丰富、精彩纷呈的皮影戏。其中一个小组表演了关于“波音777”飞机坠机的故事，另一个小组演绎了一个勇敢的小女孩穿越丛林的故事，都令人印象深刻。

During the shadow making session, Teacher Robert explained how to make a shadow using cardboard and wooden sticks, showed a short video on how to perform a shadow play by changing the light to create different shadows, and demonstrated a variety of shadow character designs. The children were very imaginative and creative in creating beautiful and varied shadow characters. The best part of the session was the shadow puppet show, where the children transformed their torches behind a prepared curtain and performed a lively and colourful shadow puppet show in English. One group performed a story about a Boeing 777 plane crash and another group performed a story about a brave little girl walking through the jungle, both of which were very impressive.

这次的皮影戏活动课对孩子们来说是非常好的提升英语能力的机会。孩子们不仅学到了和皮影相关的词汇，锻炼了口语表达能力也提高了表达的自信心。此外，他们还增强了动手能力、提升了想象力和创造力。

This shadow puppets activity lesson was a great opportunity for the children to improve their English skills. The children not only learnt vocabulary related to shadow puppets, but also practiced their oral expression skills and gained confidence in expressing themselves. In addition, they were able to enhance their hands-on skills, imagination, and creativity.
